Carnival is here!

Carnival has always been a major fiesta and is still famous today for its celebrations.

Of course Pollensa, Mallorca celebrates it too and in Palma, sa Rua is a massive spectacle every year with dozens of floats and troupes in costume dazzling the streets.

In Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia as well as all the surrounding towns, parades take place on the Saturday afternoon (this year will be the 25th) and parties are held on the Friday night. Schools are out in costume too, some accompanied by samba bands, all accompanied by whistles and as much noise as they can make!
